چکیده
Introduction: A novel electrosurgical generator unit (ESU), ConMed Beamer, was recently introduced to facilitate endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) by employing Automatic Cutting Effect (ACE) technology. Its use in endoscopy has yet be investigated. Background and study aims: The aim of this evaluate the feasibility safety performing ESD per-oral myotomy (POEM) using settings generated with Beamer ESU. Patients methods: Single-center prospective 59 consecutive patients undergoing ESD/POEM at a tertiary referral center. ESU were initially testing live animal models prior first in-human study. primary outcome technical success. Secondary outcomes procedure times, rate en bloc/R0 resection, adverse events. Results: 44 (50 polyps) 15 underwent POEM, respectively. En bloc R0 curative resection rates 90%, 77.1%, 70.8%, Mean maximal length lesion 3.07 cm +/- 1.43 an average speed 14.2 cm2/hour 11.1. Technical success achieved 100% POEM patients. time (minutes) complete 50.1 min 12.4. Two major events occurred amongst all (3.4%). All intraprocedural bleeding controlled Conclusion: from proven safe effective cohort who procedures. This can added armamentarium capable generators.

Two electrosurgical endo-knives for endoscopic submucosal dissection of colorectal superficial neoplasms: a prospective randomized study
BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS Few studies have directly compared endo-knives for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) in humans. We compared the performances of the Mucosectom2 and SB knife Jr. PATIENTS AND METHODS Two trainee endoscopists performed ESD of 36 lesions in this prospective, randomized controlled trial. Mucosal incision with a 1.5-mm Dual knife and submucosal dissection using the...

to discuss my point, i have collected quite a number of articles, anthologies, and books about "wuthering heights" applying various ideas and theories to this fantastic story. hence, i have come to believe that gadamer and jauss are rightful when they claim that "the individaul human mind is the center and origin of all meaning," 3 that reading literature is a reader-oriented activity, that it ...

During esophageal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), a left-sided lesion may be affected by the direction of gravity, which causes pooling of water, blood, and tiny resection fragments that obscure the lesion [1]. We used a new inverted endoscopic overtube (Endo Rescue, TOP Co. Tokyo, Japan) to perform esophageal ESD more effectively and safely in left-sided lesions (●" Fig.1). A 67-year-o...
متن کاملPolyethylene glycol submucosal irrigation: a novel approach to improve visibility during endoscopic submucosal dissection
In order to expand the availability of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), measures to facilitate the procedure are necessary. When bleeding occurs, the examiner's field of vision is critically impaired, and ESD becomes less efficient and more hazardous because of the presence of submucosal hematoma and covered blood clot. We propose the use of polyethylene glycol (PEG) irrigation as a simp...
متن کاملGastric Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Is Safe for Day Patients
BACKGROUND/AIMS Although the advantages of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) are well established, there are important limitations that relate to its higher cost and higher rate of complications compared with endoscopic mucosal resection. This study assessed the therapeutic safety and efficacy of ESD in the treatment of small gastric dysplasia and early gastric cancer (EGC) located within ...
